Birth Doula and Fitness Specialist

Hi there! I’m Megan, a certified birth doula and certified pre/postnatal exercise specialist. I grew up in Vermont, but have called Raleigh my home for the last decade. Before becoming a personal trainer and doula, I worked as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst in the public schools in Vermont, and also in Human Resources. I have 2 amazing kiddos, ages 6 and 3, and it was my own experience of pregnancy, birth and postpartum that opened my eyes to how moms are not getting the support they so desperately need.

I started exclusively training pregnant and postpartum clients in 2021 after the birth of my son, and then when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2023, I hired a birth doula because I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC (shout out to our co-founder, Jenna Tomlin!) Having Jenna’s support was instrumental in giving me the redemptive birth experience I had hoped for, and it ultimately inspired me to become a birth doula myself so I could support moms through pregnancy and birth in an even bigger way.

In 2026, I became a certified birth doula and am so passionate about helping families feel informed, supported and physically prepared for birth. My background in prenatal fitness gives me a unique perspective on birth support, and I love helping clients understand how they can use movement, positioning, breath and other coping tools throughout labor.

As your doula, I’m not here to tell you how you should give birth. I’m here to help you understand your options, prepare for the unpredictable nature of birth, advocate for what matters to you and remind you that you are way more capable than you probably realize.

When I’m not training clients or attending births, you can usually find me wrapped up in fuzzy blanket reading a good book, lifting heavy weights, chasing my children around the house, or re-watching Gilmore Girls for the 275th time. Oh and drinking an unreasonable amount of coffee.
